Terms of Entry

Discover Hungary is a strictly trade only event.
You may be required to show proof of your trade activities (e.g. a business card, invoices) at the entrance.

  • All attendees (including visitors, exhibitors, press, competitors or speakers) to Discover Hungary must hold a valid badge and be registered for the current show.
  • Visitors must have a business related interest in hospitality or food service and associated industries.
  • Anyone attending Discover Hungary should carry some form of photo-ID (passport, photo-ID driving licence, national identity card) or other identification acceptable to the Organisers which security may ask to see. If you are lucky enough to look younger than your age, then you may be asked for ID to prove you are over the age of 18.
  • Attendees are NOT allowed to sell products or services to exhibitors or visitors at Discover Hungary. All exhibitors have paid to promote their products to visiting industry buyers and do not wish to be sold to on their stands. It is also not acceptable for non-exhibiting suppliers to try to sell their products to visitors attending the show.
  • Non-exhibiting suppliers with any form of branded clothing / promotional material will be refused entry.
  • Non-exhibiting suppliers deemed to be soliciting business or promoting their brands at the show will be asked to leave the event.

No children/young adults aged under 18 will be admitted to the exhibition.

The exhibition is a place of business and the presence of children is not encouraged. There are a number of health and safety issues to consider including the sampling of alcohol.

Service Dogs only will be admitted into the show

No other types of dogs, other than service dogs, will be allowed into the show.

Press badges at the event are restricted to publishers, editors, journalists, photographers, broadcasters and web bloggers associated with the relevant industries.
Members of the press may be required to produce accreditation in the form of a photocopy of a recognised press or media card, business card, NUJ card, a letter from the editor or an official web address linking to a press release or article in order to verify their position. Press applications from advertising personnel and media sales representatives will not be accepted.

Badge holders must not allow their badges to be worn by anyone else.  Any failure is likely to lead to the badge holder and the person wearing the badge being removed from the event and possibly being barred from attending future Discover Hungary events.

Canvassing / Leafleting
Anyone attending Discover Hungary must not take part in any canvassing, leafleting, demonstrations, objectionable behaviour or any activity which may disrupt the business activities at the event. Non-exhibiting companies attending Discover Hungary are requested not to solicit for business on the show floor or from visitors within the show.

Sampling
Many exhibitors give out samples of products for potential buyers to try. These are intended for genuine retail or hospitality buyers or users. Anyone found to be taking excessive samples from stands without engaging with the exhibitor or without the exhibitor’s express permission, may be asked to leave the event.

Samples may only be taken with the express permission of the stand holder or supplier concerned and are for the use of professional buyers when making professional buying decisions.

The organisers reserve the right to confiscate any sample they deem to have been acquired inappropriately or not for professional buying purposes.

Discover Hungary has no control over the food products distributed at our shows and cannot be held responsible for any allergic reactions to food sampled or purchased whilst at one of our events. Discover Hungary takes place in a multi-purpose public venue, which hosts a variety of events during every week of every year. Therefore, the venue is as susceptible to any allergen as any other public place and should be treated with precisely the same degree of caution.

Photography & Video
Official photographers & videographers will be taking photographs and other images at the event. The Organisers shall be entitled to use such photographs, which may include photographs or video footage of visitors, for the purpose of marketing the event attended and other events in the future.

Exclusion from the Event
The Organisers reserve the right to exclude or remove anyone from the event and venue who do not comply with this policy or who they reasonably consider are likely to break these rules or who are prohibited from attending under any applicable laws or regulations.

If you are asked to leave the event by the Organisers, this is at their discretion and by consenting to these terms you agree to leave as requested.

Thank you for understanding and agreeing to these basic courtesies which will help to make sure that everyone has a pleasant and productive day.
