Tokajicum Winery

Our winery is located in Tarcal, where our Mediterranean-style wine house was built in 2002. Our vineyards in Tarcal and Mád include both old and newly planted vines—about half of them are 30-40 years old, producing wines with rich flavors, while the other half were planted after 2010. By taking advantage of the unique characteristics of each vineyard, we craft a variety of dry, single-vineyard and estate-selected Furmints. At the same time, we place great emphasis on late-harvest dessert wines. The pinnacle of our selection remains our Aszú wines.

Entering the market was not an easy task, so we introduced unique products that set us apart. This is how our flagship wine, Kedves, was born—a late-harvest, fruit-forward blend presented in an elegant paper packaging. It quickly gained popularity among consumers and became a defining part of our winery’s identity.

Zwack

According to legend, in 1790, Dr. Zwack, the physician of the royal court, first offered his special herbal liqueur to Emperor Joseph II, who, with his appreciative words – “Das ist ein Unicum!” – named the unique herbal liqueur, the recipe of which has remained unchanged for over 200 years. Nothing is eternal, only change – as the saying goes. Over the past 220 years, Unicum has experienced many things, yet it remains constant and stable in its values while still being able to renew itself. It’s no wonder, as positive thinking is encoded in its origin, which contributes to Unicum’s enduring success.
